Rueil-Malmaison (France), July 4, 2014 – Luc Rémont is appointed President of Schneider Electric France. He replaces Guy Dufraisse who is taking on a new role as Head of Operational marketing for the Schneider Electric Partner Projects Business.
As President of Schneider Electric France, Luc is responsible for ensuring the global strategic positioning of Schneider Electric in France and the operational development of its businesses. He also represents the Group in its dealings with public authorities, as well as different private or public organizations and social partners.

Luc Rémont, 44, graduated from École Polytechnique and École Nationale Supérieure des Techniques Avancées (Ensta), and started his career in 1993 as an engineer at the French Ministry of Defence. From 1996 to 2007, he subsequently held several positions at the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry. He first served at the French Treasury, in charge pf relations with international development banks (e.g. EBRD, World Bank), then of the French state’s shareholding in companies of the transport sector. From 2002 to 2007, he served as technical advisor in charge of shareholding, then deputy chief of staff of Ministers of Finance. He joined Merrill Lynch Investment Banking in 2007 and became head of Bank of America Merrill Lynch Corporate and Investment Banking for France in 2009.
Luc joined Schneider Electric in early spring 2014 and has been taking advantage of his on boarding period to acquire a deeper knowledge of the Group and its employees. His appointment as President of Schneider Electric France will be effective July 15, 2014.
